MXC & WXC Studnet-Athletes Set Career-Bests at the St. Louis College of Pharmacy Fall Classic

ST LOUIS, Mo. - The Saint Mary-of-the-Woods College men's and women's cross country teams competed in the St. Louis College of Pharmacy Fall Classic yesterday afternoon. The men's cross country notables were Brennan Guido and Thomas Shaw. Guido finished 12th place with a time of 27:13:2. Shaw set a new career-best crossing the finish line at 30:50.3.

On the women's side, two SMWC runners finished in the Top 10 of the 5K race. Kayla Coryea ran a career-best finishing with a 19:16:0 time which notched her a 4th place finish. Freshman Kendyll Schulz recorded a 7th place finish with a time of 20:00:02. Elizabeth Trausch marked a career-best as well with a time of 22:35:4.

"The men's team is running well and continue to improve a little each meet. I believe they will peak at Nationals." said head coach Zach Whitkanack. "The women's team continues to have some outstanding individual performances. I think by Nationals they will be running great as a pack and have a good chance at a podium finish." mentioned Whitkanack.
