Hein and White Notch Ninth Place Finishes at IHSA Nationals

HARRISBURG, Pa. -- Saint Mary-of-the-Woods College western equestrian team members Hannah Hein and Savannah White competed at the 2018 Intercollegiate Horse Show Association (IHSA) National Championships hosted at the Pennsylvania Farm Show Complex. Hein and White displayed impressive routines as they showed her skills at a world-class level.

Hannah Hein finished 9th in the nation in Individual Reining. Hein will compete in the AQHA Highpoint Rider rail tonight to see if she will show again tomorrow morning.

Hein said, "It's a bittersweet feeling, I feel so lucky to have had this experience and be amongst the Top Ten in the nation in Reining but it is quite sad because this team has been my life for the past four years. I'm going to be walking away from something that will always be special to me. The team has given me tremendous opportunities and lifelong friends. I will miss it!"

Savannah White placed 9th in the nation in Individual Intermediate as she posted an incredible ride.
