Men's Golf to Compete in the 2019 Whistling Straights Championship

KOHLER, Wisc. -- Men's golf head coach Abe Nasser and the SMWC Athletic Department finalized registration to compete in the 2019 Whistling Straights Championship hosted by Taylor University.

The 2018 USCAA defending National Champions will battle in a two-day 36-hole stroke play match vs. NAIA teams from all over America. This event is known to be "one of the best NAIA events of the season" and the features numerous teams ranked in the NAIA Top-25.

A Pete Dye design, Whistling Straits features two amazing golf courses. SMWC will tee-off on the Straits Golf Course, which is one of the most prestigious courses in all of the United States, serving as the host site for the 2004, 2010, and 2016 PGA Championship, as well as the 2007 U.S. Senior Open and the future site of the 2020 Ryder Cup.

"Whistling Straights is one of the premier venues in the country. Playing the same golf course as the 2020 Ryder Cup will be an honor" stated head coach Abe Nasser.
