Head Coach Zach Whitkanack...
"I thought we (men's team) ran well today. Still working on packing it up a bit, still some pacing issues. Brennan Guido ran well for us out in front, as usual, Brady Page had a really strong race today. I thought Jacob Turner did a nice job of pacing himself and getting back up with that front pack towards the end. We have freshman still getting used to the college training, all-in-all a good race and looking forward to coming back in two weeks."
"Zoe ran great today, she really thrived with the strong competition. I told her before the race to go out with those D-1 teams and push herself. She had a great time, one of the best she has ever run and it is very early on. We (women's team) had a great second-place performance by Kayla, Kate White and Kendyll Schulz both ran very well today."
"I think I was a little bit negative at first going into the race just because I was a little bit nervous cause it was a new course for our team and for me cause I'm a freshman. I was a little worried about the heat but it ended up being a fast course. We ended up packing up in the front pretty well and some of my teammates did really great!"
"My mindset going into the race was just to go out and compete. See what was going to happen throughout it, got out a little hard through the mile so the rest of the race hurt a bit. As far as the guys go, I think everyone is performing where we need to be this point in the season."
