BARDSTOWN, Ky. – The Saint Mary-of-the-Woods College women's soccer team fell, 2-1, to St. Catharine on Saturday. The Pomeroys are now 1-8 on the year.

The Pomeroys got on the board first on Saturday as senior Whitney Teeters notched her first goal of the season. SMWC's goal came with 41:15 on the clock. St. Catharine wasted no time responding though as they tallied the tying goal just seven seconds later, sending both sides into the break knotted up at one.

The second half saw St. Catharine hit the game-winning goal in the 68th minute to give SMWC the 2-1 road loss.

The Pomeroys will be back in action on October 8, when they head to Brescia for a 6 p.m. start.
