Pomeroys Fall on Senior Night to Shawnee State

SAINT MARY OF THE WOODS, Ind. – The Saint Mary-of-the-Woods College soccer team fell in Tuesday night's senior day match with Shawnee State University, 6-1. The Pomeroys' defeat in their season finale places their record at 2-12 on the year.

The Pomeroys found themselves behind 3-0 in the first half as the Bears scored goals in the fifth, 31st and 36th minutes. The Pomeroys then got on the board in the 48th minute with an unassisted goal by junior Jordan Bray. The Bears then went on to score three more goals in the second half to hand SMWC the 6-1 defeat.

The Pomeroys recorded eight shots compared to the Bears' 17. Senior Amanda Loebker led the team in shots with four, while Bray added two, junior Cami Navarra added one and senior Dulce Chavez added one.
