SAINT MARY OF THE WOODS, Ind.. – #8 Saint Mary-of-the-Woods College (SMWC) women's soccer (5-5-0) lost to Fontbonne University (4-4-2) today 4-2. With the loss, SMWC sits at .500 on the season. 

The Highlights

  • SMWC trailed at 11:51 as Molly Kovarik netted the first goal of the match for Fontbonne
  • The Pomeroys got down 2-0 after Caroline Neal scored to give the Griffins a 2-0 lead
  • Alicia Lombardo scored the only goal (unassisted) for the Pomeroys (20:31)
  • At halftime, Fontbonne led 2-1
  • Sam Amezcua notched a 3-1 lead after she scored in the 49th minute
  • Rebecca Bass extended the Griffin lead 4-1 at the 52:26 mark
