MARION, Ind. –- The Saint Mary-of-the-Woods Men's and Women's Cross-Country teams opened their season at the 2020 Indiana Wesleyan (IWU) Twilight Invitational yesterday with the women's team finishing 10^th and the men's team finishing 18^th out of 18 teams. On the Women's side they were led by Emily Truax who finished 20^th out of 179 runners with a 5K time of 19:17.5. The men's team didn't fare as well, with their top runner, freshman Braeden Heaton, finishing 147^th out of 214 runners and a time of 29:34.6.

Both teams will look to make a stronger showing next Saturday, September 19^th. when they travel to Richmond, Indiana for the Indiana University-East Invitational. That meet is scheduled for 10:45 a.m. ET.
