MARION, Ind. –- The Saint Mary-of-the-Woods Men's and Women's Cross-Country teams opened their season at the 2020 Indiana Wesleyan (IWU) Twilight Invitational yesterday with the women's team finishing 10th and the men's team finishing 18th out of 18 teams. On the Women's side they were led by Emily Truax who finished 20th out of 179 runners with a 5K time of 19:17.5. The men's team didn't fare as well, with their top runner, freshman Braeden Heaton, finishing 147th out of 214 runners and a time of 29:34.6.
Both teams will look to make a stronger showing next Saturday, September 19th. when they travel to Richmond, Indiana for the Indiana University-East Invitational. That meet is scheduled for 10:45 a.m. ET.
