HUNTINGTON, Ind. - Saint Mary-of-the-Woods College (SMWC) men's and women's cross country competed at the Hungtington University Invitational this evening. With a brisk fall breeze and 50-degree temperatures, both the men's and women's programs ran impressive races.
The men's team placed seventh behind a big race by Juan Delgado-Vasquez who ran an 8K of 29:47.1 and Braeden Heaton who secured a time of 30:23.3. Brady Page was back in his first race of the season after healing up from a collarbone injury during the summer months. Page ran a 31:10.0 and helped score the Pomeroys some points.
The women's team secured a third-place finish behind a big performance by Emily Truax who finished in eighth place with a 4K time of 19:26.8. Breanna Barger and Kendyll Schulz were not far behind as they finished 12th and 13th.
Both the men's and women's cross country team will conclude the season in St. Louis, on October 24th, in the St. Louis Fall Classic.
