Women's XC 2019 USCAA National Champions; Men's XC Fourth Place Finish

VIRGINIA BEACH, Va. - With 40 degree temperatures and 30+ mph winds gusting across the runways of the Military Aviation Museum in Virginia Beach, Virginia, the Saint Mary-of-the-Woods College (SMWC) men's and women's cross country programs prepared themselves to compete for a 2019 USCAA Cross Country National Championship.

16 Student-Athletes Earn USCAA National All-Academic Honors

VIRGINIA BEACH, Va. - This evening at the Virginia Beach Convention Center, the United States Collegiate Athletic Association (USCAA) hosted the 2019 Fall Championship Banquet. With more than 40 institutions in attendance, the USCAA announced its National All-Academic Team Members. The award is designed to recognize student-athletes (sophomores, juniors, and seniors) who have a cumulative GPA of 3.50 or greater.

WILMORE, Ky. - Saint Mary-of-the-Woods College (SMWC) men's and women's cross-country concluded the regular season at the Asbury University Invitational this afternoon. Both programs ran impressively as the men's team took 2nd Place and the women's team took 1st Place. Between both programs, SMWC defeated NAIA-level institutions including Midway University, Georgetown University (Ky.), University of Rio Grande, and Alice Lloyd University.

Women's Cross Country Secures 8th Place Finish at the University of Notre Dame

NOTRE DAME, Ind. -- Saint Mary-of-the-Woods College (SMWC) women's cross country team traveled upstate to the University of Notre Dame for the 51st National Catholic Invitational this afternoon. The Fighting Irish hosted the Championship races at the notorious Burke Golf Course. The top tier competition included NCAA Division I, II, III, and NAIA institutions, with the toughest teams being the University of Notre Dame, University of Dayton, University of Detroit Mercy, Marian University, Creighton University, Walsh University, and Ohio Dominican University.

Men's and Women's XC Compete At High-Levels Against NCAA Division-I Talent

CHARLESTON, Ill. -  Saint Mary-of-the-Woods College (SMWC) men's and women's cross country took traveled to compete in the Walt Crawford Open hosted by Eastern Illinois University. On the beautiful Panther Trails, the Woods competed against NCAA Division-I programs Eastern Illinois University and SIU Edwardsville, along with Vincennes University, Kaskaskia College and Danville Area Community College.
